Back from the dead!

Augh! Can't describe the torture it was to be without my Sai. But! Thanks to a certain AMAZING Papa of mine, I can draw again! It's fantastic!

So here we go!

This was a gift for the man in my life! It was his birthday on the 21st.. so I was a little late getting it done (for obvious reasons), but ... again, this is pretty normal for me. Colours coming soon! A cookie for anyone that can guess which picture inspired me for this pic!

Fail!

I'm a total slacker this week!

I've been colouring the various things I have piling up, but nothing is finished as of yet. I seem to be in a colour-block of sorts. I'm not liking anything I colour.. so.. instead of posting a WIP, I sat down and did a quick 10 minute gesture(/sketch) session

Totally just for funsies! I'll try and update with something better tomorrow!

"Will you come in? Honestly! Why did we come to the beach if you won't come in the water!?"

He tilted his head up to look at the young princess. Look. Not stare. An admittedly difficult feat when the young princess is as gloriously perfect as this one. Her normally ivory skin had just a hint of bronze from all of their recent time spent at the beach; her idea, not his.

He most certainly was not a fan of the beach. Too busy, too sandy, too sunny and too hot. Though, he mused, it was not without some perks! The bikini, for example. Her bikini. It accented every gentle curve and every lovely angle. The thin straps of her top hugged the base of her slender neck, above it would be the sweet smile that was meant just for him. A smile, he noticed, that had been replaced with a smirk. He was staring. Dammit.

"Find something that got your attention?"

Totally just for funsies. I was experimenting with colouring again. I admittedly failed at the WHITE WICKER beach chair, but if we take that out.. I'm satisfied with this piece! Particularly with Angela. She was very very fun to colour.

Also, ignore my bad writing *points up* It's been a LONG TIME since I wrote any sort of fic!

It's baaack.

So, everyone remember that sketch I did 800 years ago? Well, in an attempt to work on something stress-free/easy, I revisited my glasses sketch. When I originally drew him, I only half had Guren in mind. The end result was close enough. And, since I like drawing things for my best friend so much, I changed him up enough to pass as Guren in "summer" clothes. Assuming he'd ever venture out into a summer-y place.

From there I thought, "well, why don't I sneak Angela in there somewhere?" Which lead to doodling around with backgrounds. (He originally started out at some ritzy hotel with a nice garden in the background.) But then, just having Angela in the background wasn't cute enough for me. So, to make a long story only slightly shorter than it already is, I ended up with this:

I won't lie. It was just an excuse to draw a bathing suit. And leave me alone about the chair! I pictured one of those nice white wicker chairs that resorts have! So, think of him as on a patio that goes out to the beach. Or something. Humour me.

I actually thoroughly enjoy this pic! Mostly because it was literally some garbage sketch I did for practice and it expanded into something cute. Always a good thing.

And holy crap. I wrote a lot. Sorry for all the reading. I know. It totally wasn't worth it, but what can you do?

Failure.

Okay, so I failed to update twice last week, but darnit all.. I tried. And I was busy.

BUT! To make up for it.. I have two pieces to put up this time:



This was another commission piece for my best friend. :3 Please don't use without permission!!!



And this was slightly different. I was given the image (from a website that has apparently long since disappeared) .. and asked to ink/colour. This is what I did. :D I'm actually pretty happy with the end result.. and that makes me sad, because it's not my drawing lol. Oh well, good practice.

These two pieces were pretty much done in the last few days. I've been giving myself mini-deadlines/goals and it seems to be helping with my speed. But hopefully it's also because I'm getting better ... *crosses fingers* lol.

And that, as they say, is that!! I'm very happy with the outcome, but I'm also very excited to move on to the next project! <3

Up next? I have some character designs, colouring and another commishy to work on. Plus, I'm trying to get my comic started ASAP. ^^ Exciting stuff!
