This piece I actually drew back in 2012 for a (sort of) art trade that didn't pan out, sadly. But I really liked the lines, so I saved it for later! Now I finally got a chance to colour it! Woohoo!
New art omg! This one is a birthday gift for a close friend of mine! Her b-day is tomorrow and she absolutely loves Iron Man, so I knew what I had to do!
For the sake of being 'honest' (I guess?) I'm gonna post my sketch from last night. I worked on it for longer than I want to (typically, my sketch commissions should take no more than 1 hour) and was not happy with the result. Oh well. Everything is a learning experience!!
Ruby's (really) early b-day gifty!! I push the rush on this because I knew I'd be seeing the lovely Ruby at Comicon yesterday, and wanted to give her an actual print! (Which ended up coming out pretty nice! It's kinda cool to see a poster of your own art!) And I'm so glad you liked it, Ruby!!! I LOVE YOU TONS!!
This piece was a CHALLENGE, and now that it's all done... I can be happy with how it came out! :D
So! With this image I was, for some reason, really fixated on doing a sorta 50's pastel colour and outfit theme. I just wanted something bright, happy and ... springy! It also had to be Roski. Because Roski. Engagement photos, maybe? I don't know. I've always wanted cutesy retro themed engagement photos, haha.
Anywho! I really hope you like it Ele!!! And I hope you have a great birthday!!!
Like I said before, I took a couple liberties (I made the season late winter/early spring.. which, really, was an excuse to draw Loki in a wool coat, hahaha) I also couldn't decide to draw a tradition portrait, or having them with the absinthe or just go for a "moment in time" type feel. I opted for the latter. I love traditional stuff... but I always felt they lacked something, emotion-wise. So there we go! I hope that made sense, lol. Colours will come later!
It's finally coloured!! This is meant to go along with my Tom Hiddleston pics (here and here) from before! :D This time it's Tony Stark! Or Robert Downey Jr. Because we know that there really isn't a difference between the two anymore, haha. Tumblr Also available at RedBubble! ~~~~~~~~~ Inked and Coloured in CS5. Well. Here we are again! Now, the original plan was always to colour it.. but I hadn't planned on re-working the inks! I'm glad I did, though! I've very pleased with how they look... and I'm very happy with the piece overall! I think this is safe to post! I originally did this as a Christmas card for Lettie! I really liked the design, so here is the inked version! I want to try something different with the colours when I get a chance!

..Also went on a scanning spree of old (from this month) sketches!
More inking practice using Christmas card thumbnails! This one is another Noble Beast sketch! Tumblr: http://ginnymilling.tumblr.com/post/39264214497/deviant-art-x-more-inking-practice-for-this ~~~~~~~~~ India Ink and Speedball inking pens. Art (c) Ginny Milling 2012.
Double whammy! I needed to get something out for Christmas, and I just hit my 50 follower (actually, 51!) mark on Tumblr!! I am THRILLED. And, since I know that a lot of it came because of the Roski family, I had to do up some Roski! So here we go! It was a reasonably quick piece, but I'm happy with it for now! Merry Christmas everyone!! And thank you so much for all the love and support. It means the world to me. Tumblr
