Emoooo

Feeling a little emo this evening, so what do I do? Torture myself, of course. Isn't that what all artists do?

A little sad John for you! Ugh. Seriously, at the end of Reichenbach.. all I wanted to do was hug John. Poor guy. Can't wait for him to start being happy again! Damn you 2013! Come sooner!!

Anywho. There we go. I'll deal with my ever-growing list of things to do (/gather and scan) when I'm feeling better!

Catching up again..

I started a life drawing class with my best friend recently... and I have a few things that I'll share once I figure out how to.. uh. Scan them. Take a picture of them. Whatever. They're MASSIVE. I am not used to using paper that big! Haha

And speaking of the best friend... I finish a logo for her business this week! It was the thumbnail version of the card I did last week ... only slightly modified. :) I'm pleased with the outcome! I can't wait to get started on the next part of this project.

I also have a few JohnLock sketches I've done .. which I will scan in later!

Tomorrow I am (hopefully) off to the grand opening of the Beaches 4Cats Art Studio tomorrow! I'm looking forward to this place. It seems like it's going to be good times. I definitely want to try one of their Paint Splatter Parties!

And then next week, assuming I get the time off, I definitely want to make a point of going to TCAF. I've wanted to go for YEARS and ALWAYS miss it! I really want to make sure I get out!

Holy plugging, Batman!

Companion piece...

Finished the companion card to Sherlock!

Poor John is always being made fun of.... But we all know that Sherlock loves you! <3

This one was meant to be Alice from TOL. But it's ended up being useful for something else. Or rather... the thumbnail version of the above card was useful. This card version didn't really work for me. Oh well, still a learning process. :)

Trading cards!

I'm afraid I had a little too much fun doing these.

Sherlock was originally partnered with a companion John card, but I didn't care for the John sketch, so I'll re-work it and draw it up later. :)

The second two, Shadowcat/Sprite/Kitty Pryde and Logan/Wolverine was just for funsies! I love love love the dynamic these two have. It's this adorable father/older brother daughter/kid sister thing and it's hilarious. I love seeing the more human side of Logan. It's the reason I love him so much!

I did more sketching yesterday as well... and I'm heading back to it today, so more to come for sure!!

The best thing ever.

Just a little doodle of the best thing to happen to Archie Comics like... ever. Kevin and Clay are ADORABLE. Kevin is just... such a likeable character. I love him to death. Moreso, I love what he and Clay represent. Yes, gay characters have been done (and probably even marriages have been done before as well).. but the Riverdale gang reaches such a large range of people that it carries that much more weight. I have my copy of the marriage issue and you better believe I will get that sucker signed and framed!!

One day, I hope I'm lucky enough to get to work on a Kevin Keller comic. That would be MASSIVELY cool.

Another sketch dump...

These I mostly drew on my lunch breaks. Glorious, glorious lunch breaks. The time where I can relax my brain....

Anyway! More to come! :)

Commission work!

So this has been my little project for the week!
The initial sketch was done on my giant sketchpad and sent to the client for approval!

After the changes were made, I went on to the colours! I knew exactly what I wanted for the character, but had no clue what I wanted to do for the BG. Then an idea sorta hit me....

Since the picture was for a specific person, I wanted more things relating to that person in the background... which lead to....

And the finished product! I'm very pleased with the outcome! Especially since I really hated how it was looking at the start! Haha. And the client/receiver were very happy, so that's excellent! :) Hope you all like as well!

More to come! Happy Easter everyone!

I'm a sucker for a profile...

Restaurant drawing again! I do love drawing with crayons. They're so under appreciated.

I swear I'll have a real update soon. Hopefully by Sunday! All depends on my client!

No update this week...

Sorry about that. I ended up working every day this week and didn't have a chance to really work! AND, the things I AM working on, I can't really show yet. Haha.

Seriously though, this week is a little lighter for me, so I will do my very best to make up for it. :)

You guys rock!! <3
