Cleaning up..

So I was cleaning up some old files...

Way back in 2011 I posted this panel. I did the inks for the main section pretty soon after, but never bothered to finish. So in the spirit of moving forward, here are those inks! It's not the whole image, but I don't think it's worth spending more time.

It's absolutely not perfect (I wasn't flipping as much as I should back then) but I love this for different reasons; I was so proud of it when I first completed it because I thought to myself "man! For me, this is good! I've really improved" and now I look back on it and love it for almost the same reason.. to see how much I've improved.

So! Here's to moving forward!!

Ah, Christmas.

Happy First Birthday!!

Hey everyone! Ginny here! For those who don't know, I'm Molly's behind-the-scenes helper!


Last week (October 21st) was Molly's Mixing Bowl's first birthday!! I thought that deserved a little celebration, congratulations and thanks all around!


So, thank you goes out to all MMB's wonderful supporters! MMB could not have had such a successful year without all of you!

And a big congratulations to Molly for all her hard work, passion and dedication! You've done truly amazing things in such a short time!!

Alexis is a tribute to the strong women in my life. She’s a mixture of my sister, my best friend and another close friend of mine. Except she sleeps with a lot of men. Because there will be sex of some description in this comic. 

Side note: I was playing with colour on this one. And managed to turn her into a frost giant. I’m okay with this.

Finished!

It has been .. one HELL of a week. I don't think I've been this stressed out in a while! Hah!

But anyway! Good things have happened as the week went on and new ideas are in play.. which is always exciting! So here we go!

The finished product! I definitely wanted to keep with the colour scheme of Molly's logo, so I pleased it worked out!

Can't wait to get these on the product!

Inks!

So I have the inks for my companion logo!

Man, it may not look like it, but I did a ton of re-working. What a pain!

That aside, I also finished business cards and a menu for Molly. I won't post those yet. I want to wait until they're in circulation! But they're coming! I promise! ;)

Catching up again..

I started a life drawing class with my best friend recently... and I have a few things that I'll share once I figure out how to.. uh. Scan them. Take a picture of them. Whatever. They're MASSIVE. I am not used to using paper that big! Haha

And speaking of the best friend... I finish a logo for her business this week! It was the thumbnail version of the card I did last week ... only slightly modified. :) I'm pleased with the outcome! I can't wait to get started on the next part of this project.

I also have a few JohnLock sketches I've done .. which I will scan in later!

Tomorrow I am (hopefully) off to the grand opening of the Beaches 4Cats Art Studio tomorrow! I'm looking forward to this place. It seems like it's going to be good times. I definitely want to try one of their Paint Splatter Parties!

And then next week, assuming I get the time off, I definitely want to make a point of going to TCAF. I've wanted to go for YEARS and ALWAYS miss it! I really want to make sure I get out!

Companion piece...

Finished the companion card to Sherlock!

Poor John is always being made fun of.... But we all know that Sherlock loves you! <3

This one was meant to be Alice from TOL. But it's ended up being useful for something else. Or rather... the thumbnail version of the above card was useful. This card version didn't really work for me. Oh well, still a learning process. :)

Catching up.

Not on posts (I know. I think hell froze over) .. but on sketches that have been building up in my books!

And there we go! Most of these were done at work the last little while.. And I'm a little surprised I sketch anything at work at all! It's a little intimidating having an entire table staring at you while you're sketching. (Not being egotistical, they were just watching haha. But it makes me so nervous!)

Anywho, more to come for sure. I'd also like to wish everyone a happy and safe St. Patty's Day! Go ruin your livers but remember to behave and never EVER EVER drink and drive.
