This one was the same client, this time requesting an image of her daughter in an Alice in Wonderland themed image with all her pets around her. :) I thought it would be a fun touch to make all the animals actual characters from the story!

Rough week.

Actually... no. VERY rough week. I do have a small update, though~!

There is a contest at work, where you paint a pair of jeans with characters from your favourite childhood story. Alice in Wonderland... is not my favourite, haha. But I've wanted to do something Alice for a little while, so these are the initial thumbnails.

I'll update tomorrow with some designs from my ACTUAL favourite childhood story!

All right! Just a couple quick ones before I go back to work!

These were done on the wait(s) before work. One was an attempt at some kinda poofy Alice, and the other is a super hero design I've been playing with for... years. It's the first actual attempt at putting her on paper, so ... here's hoping later attempts work out better, haha.

I'm actually pretty happy with how this turned out. The background was a happy accident. I was literally just throwing colours on to the canvas hoping that something would form.. and it kinda did. I liked the fuzzy out of focus forest-type feel of it. So yay for that!

Also, this pic wasn't -actually- meant to recreate the "almost kiss" from "Alice". It was kind of supposed to be a post-series "I'm so happy to be with you" kinda thing.. but whatever. I'm happy.

And, I stayed up till about 1am last night laying in all the flats of every fully inked drawing I have on-the-go... so expect a few coloured pieces popping up over the next little while!

Comic.

Okay, I wanted to post this as is for now.. mostly because I don't know what I'll get finished tomorrow evening. But here we go.

I randomly did a short little comic; it's a one-shot, using those characters from my Valentine's day picture. Here's my thing: I did the story behind it based on something that happened to me, and since I'm far too embarrassed to actually post the dialogue, you all get to sort of... make up what you want the dialogue to be, haha. The first page is almost finished, with some minor things needing to be done (ie, the background in the first frame- which you'll see is just roughly sketched in) .. while the second page is only a thumbnail for now. I have a rough lined version, but I haven't scanned it. I'm tired and lazy, leave me alone, lol. Anyway, I'm going to stop rambling now.

And there you go! Hope you like! And hopefully I'll get the cleaned up version(s) posted soon. Still working on the HatterxAlice pic as well.

Okay, so.. I finished SyFy's take on Alice in Wonderland. It's pretty safe to say I'm obsessed with yet another version of my beloved Mad Hatter ♥ I think this one was my favourite! Probably mostly because of all the HxA stuff, haha. I'm such a sucker for romance.



Nothing fancy.. and it definitely needs some re-working. Especially with his jacket. And head. Lol.

Anyway.. I know it breaks my "men only" rule .. but since it has a man in there, I'm letting it slide.
